Getting there

Get your boat to the water.

We carry racks, trailers, and carts sized to your vehicle and your NuCanoe. Come in and we'll set you up right.

What we carry

Vehicle racks: roof & truck bed

Secure roof-mount and truck-bed rack systems that carry your kayak safely at highway speed. We'll match the right rack to your vehicle and get it fitted.

Trailers

Purpose-built kayak trailers for one boat or a few. The right call for heavier rigs with pedal drives or motors.

Kayak carts

Roll your boat from the truck to the water without breaking your back. Beach, gravel, and trail-friendly carts that break down for storage.

Loading & tie-down help

Straps, bow lines, and a walkthrough on loading solo the safe way. We'll make sure it's secure before you pull out of the lot.

How we fit it

Bring the vehicle, leave with it loaded

Racks are not one size fits all. A NuCanoe Unlimited is wider and heavier than most kayaks, and a pedal drive or motor changes how it should sit. We fit the rack to your vehicle and your boat, then load it with you so you know the routine before you drive home.

1. Tell us what you drive

Roof rails, a bare roof, a pickup bed, or a hitch. Each one points to a different rack or a trailer. Send us the year, make, and model when you book and we will have options pulled before you arrive.

2. Match it to the boat

A Flint loads solo on a roof. An Unlimited rigged with a motor is a trailer boat for most people. We will be honest about what you can lift alone and what you cannot.

3. Load it together

Straps, bow and stern lines, and where the cradles go. We do it once with you in the lot so the first time on your own is not a guess in a boat launch parking area.

Good to know

Transport questions we get a lot

Can I carry a NuCanoe on a regular car?

Usually yes. A Flint or U10 rides on a roof rack on most cars and SUVs. The Unlimited is heavier, and once you add a drive or a motor most owners move to a trailer. We will tell you which side of that line you are on.

Do I need a trailer?

Not for the smaller boats. For a fully rigged Unlimited or Unlimited Max, or if you are carrying two boats, a trailer saves your back and your roof. We stock kayak trailers sized for one or several boats.

Can you install the rack?

Yes. Book a visit, bring the vehicle, and we will fit and install the rack and walk you through loading and tie down before you leave.

What about getting from the truck to the water?

A kayak cart. Beach, gravel, and trail wheels are available, and most carts break down to stow in the boat once you launch.

We'll get you rolling.

Tell us what you drive and what you're hauling. We'll match you to the right rack, trailer, or cart.
